BIO
Pianist Daniel Pereira holds a Doctor in Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland, a Master of Music from the University of Hartford and an Artist Diploma from the State University of New York at Purchase, and has participated in piano festivals and master classes in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Brazil and the United States.
As an author, Pereira published the book “We Can’t Always Play Waltzes: Conversations with Bert Lucarelli”, for Carl Fischer New York, “The Teachings of Alfred Cortot for Clavier Magazine, and is co-editor of “Notas de Compositor” for the State University of Minas Gerais.
Pereira has conducted extensive research on pianists and schools of piano playing at the one-of-a-kind International Piano Archives at Maryland (IPAM). He is Professor of Piano at the Conservatorio Profesional Teresa Berganza in Madrid.
